Holy cow!

Surely some of you losers have waited until the New Year to make some false promises to yourself about living a better life. Well, we’re here to take advantage of your naivety, so climb on board. Shane, from iShane fame, is taking a health initiative to eat less red meat. As part of that, he is also taking the opportunity to see that someone else in this world is able to ride, milk and (hopefully not) eat their own red meat.

Heifer International enables all of us privileged people to supply whole (or part of) animals to places that need them, i.e. not our fat asses. We give Heifer International $500. Heifer International gives somebody a Heifer other than the girl you went out with in high school. If $500 is too steep for you, you can by a share of a Heifer for $50. The llama is a reasonably priced $150.

Now rather than buy some random share, Shane has come up with the marvelous idea of pooling our money together in order to unite as one community of bloggers to provide a Heifer. Shane is even offering to do the gathering…or the laundering if he feels like going to hell. Also by going this independent route, those of you with less than $50 to offer can join in on the party.

For what would likely be the cost of 6 to 10 boxes of snack cakes, TKC could buy the udder of a Heifer whose milk will fuel the growth of the bones (and C-cups) of an exotic model he can later feature on his site. What are you waiting for?

Fundraisers suck. However, I would consider participating in something creative, i.e. blogger chili cook-off or something with entry fee or whatever. I actually wanted to try some of XO's stew. I am already payroll-deducting charity money and you have to have something exciting (hopefully involving strippers)to get more out of me.

I'm sure XO is quite eager for you to try his "stew." Maybe you can bring a salad to toss.
